Zakery Kakos

Zakery Kakos defends employers in all manners of labor and employment disputes, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour actions. Zak has also worked alongside the firm’s more seasoned attorneys to conduct objective workplace investigations and counsel clients on strategies to comply with various state and federal employment laws.

Zak is a recent graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, where he served as Vice President of the Employment and Labor Law Society and was a member of the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team. While in law school, Zak clerked for various boutique firms across San Diego, where he obtained invaluable skills and experience in employment, real estate, and education law.

Zak is also a former Division 1 volleyball athlete who now shares his passion for the sport by coaching high school athletics. His dedication to coaching is inspired by the impactful mentorship he received as a high school athlete, which drives his broader passion for fostering growth and excellence for young athletes, both on and off the court.
